Terms of Service
The rules, in plain language.
Not dense legal boilerplate — the actual answers to what you're agreeing to by using MemoraBooks. See the Privacy Panel for how your photos themselves are handled.
What am I actually buying?
A photo book — trip journal or baby album — built from photos you upload, laid out automatically, that you fine-tune before ordering. Digital e-book delivery is available today; a printed physical copy may be offered separately as that part of the service comes online.
Whose photos are these?
Yours. Uploading a photo to MemoraBooks doesn't transfer ownership or grant us any rights to use it beyond what's needed to build and deliver your book — laying it out, rendering it into your PDF/e-book, and (only if you turn a feature on, like sharing an album link or inviting contributors) showing it to people you've chosen to show it to. We don't use your photos for anything else — no stock libraries, no marketing, no training data.
Do I need an account?
To save an album and come back to it, or to order one, yes. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials to yourself and for whatever happens under your account — let us know quickly if you think someone else has access to it.
What's this "one book at a time" thing?
While payment is still handled manually (see the next question), we only let an account have one unpaid book in progress at once — start a second and you'll be offered the choice to resume the first or discard it and start fresh. This isn't a punishment, it's just how we keep track of what's actually been paid for during this phase.
How does payment work right now?
MemoraBooks is in an early, pre-launch phase. Online checkout isn't live yet — after you finish a book, we confirm payment with you directly (UPI or similar) and mark your order paid on our end once that's settled. Pricing shown in the app (e.g. the e-book price on the cart page) is what applies at the time you order; we'll tell you directly if that changes before you pay.
Can I get a refund?
If something's genuinely wrong on our end — the book didn't render correctly, the file you received doesn't match what you approved — tell us and we'll make it right, refund included if a fix isn't possible. Because each book is built from your own photos and choices, we can't offer refunds for a simple change of mind once a physical copy has been printed and shipped; for the digital e-book, reach out before you've downloaded it if you want to cancel.
What am I not allowed to upload or do?
Don't upload photos you don't have the right to use, anything illegal, or content meant to harass or harm someone else. Don't try to access another account's photos or albums, probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission, or use automated tools to hammer the upload/API endpoints. We can suspend or close an account that does any of this.
What about the "invite someone to add photos" feature?
If you turn on contributions for an album and share the link, whoever you send it to can add their own photos to your album, subject to the same photo-count and content rules as everything else here. You stay the owner and can review, keep, or remove anything they add before it's part of the finished book.
Is the service guaranteed to always be up?
We aim for it to be, but this is a small, actively-developing product — occasional downtime, bugs, or a feature changing shape between one session and the next can happen. We'll fix problems as fast as we reasonably can; we can't promise the service will never have an issue.
Can these terms change?
Yes, as the product grows (checkout going live, printed copies shipping, new features) — we'll update this page when they do. Continuing to use MemoraBooks after a change means you're accepting the updated terms; if a change is significant, we'll try to flag it more directly, not just quietly edit this page.
